Pair of Jaguars Ranked Among Top-32 WRs in NFL
· Yahoo Sports
One of the biggest strengths the Jacksonville Jaguars have in 2026 is their wide receiver room.

The Jaguars have four receivers who could all argue for being the best on the team. Their top trio consists of Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, and Parker Washington. Add in Travis Hunter, who will still be occasionally used on offense despite the Jaguars' intentions on playing him primarily at cornerback, and Jacksonville possibly has the best quartet of WRs in the league.
Even though the Jaguars didn't have any of their receivers make ESPN's top-10 rankings, their strength in numbers should give them one of the most potent passing offenses in the NFL.
Despite none of them cracking the top 10, PFF has a pair of Jaguars ranked among its list of the top 32 WRs in the league.
Which Jaguars Made The Cut?With four Jaguars in the running, who two made the cut?
That would be BTJ and Meyers.
It wasn't that long ago that Thomas looked to be an undisputed top-10 WR. In 2024, he had one of the most impressive debut seasons in Jacksonville history, finishing with 87 catches, 1,282 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns. Thomas became the first WR in the Jaguars' history to be selected to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.
However, a disappointing sophomore campaign has quickly derailed Thomas' career momentum. He still oozes with talent and is looking to rebound in 2026.
PFF has Thomas ranked 29th and believes he could elevate the Jaguars' offense to a new level.
"After a terrific rookie season in 2024, Thomas struggled with confidence and drops in 2025, finishing with 707 receiving yards. His 14.3% drop rate ranked sixth highest among qualified wide receivers during the regular season. He also caught just 10 of his 29 contested targets. If Thomas can rediscover the form that helped him finish fourth in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting two years ago, he could elevate Jacksonville's offense to an elite level."
Coming in at 28th, one spot ahead of BTJ, was Jakobi Meyers. Jacksonville acquired Meyers in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, and he brought stability to the receiver position with Travis Hunter injured and Thomas struggling badly. The Jaguars gave Meyers a contract extension, and he will be a huge part of the offense in 2026.
PFF praised Meyers for his consistency and ability to come down with contested catches, while also acknowledging the huge impact he made on the offense after coming to town.
"Meyers has long been a consistent performer, recording five straight 800-yard seasons, including a 1,027-yard campaign in 2024. His impact was immediately felt in Jacksonville, as he earned a 78.2 PFF receiving grade from Week 10 through Week 18. Since 2019, Meyers has caught 60.7% of his contested targets. Among wide receivers with at least 200 targets during that span, only New Orleans' Michael Thomas has a higher rate."
Washington And Hunter Left OutIt is interesting that both Parker Washington and Travis Hunter were left out of the rankings in favor of Thomas and Meyers.
Washington had a breakout season in 2025 and finished the year as Jacksonville's leading receiver. He is expected to be even better in 2026, now that he has shown what he is capable of.
Hunter, meanwhile, may be the Jaguars' most talented receiver. However, Jacksonville's plan to only occasionally playing him on offense clearly puts him fourth in the team's pecking order.
Final ThoughtsThe Jaguars might not have any one individual receiver expected to be among the league's best in 2026, but not many teams have four who can make such a big impact.
Thomas and Hunter both have the talent and pedigree to be ranked much higher. Hunter only needs to play the position regularly, while Thomas needs to prove his dismal 2025 season was a fluke.
The combination of Jacksonville's receivers and Trevor Lawrence at quarterback gives the Jaguars' passing offense a chance to be special in 2026.
