With just one Summer League game left on the Brooklyn Nets' schedule, the team has shown flashes of young talent that can make a big impact on the official roster this upcoming season.

Second-year guard Egor Demin, the top first-round pick of five Nets selections last draft, was the most impressive player on the preseason roster, averaging 21 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

Alongside No. 6 overall pick Mikel Brown Jr., the Nets' front office has to be feeling good about the future of it's backcourt.

On Saturday, Demin talked about his relationship with his newest teammate and a nickname for the duo circulating around social media.

"The Aura Bros? I've seen that a little bit. He's been a really good friend of mine ever since he's here..." Demin told ClutchPoints reporter Kris Pursiainen. "I think we have a really good opportunity to be around each other a little bit, get to know each other. Get to feel what it is for the regular season, for the main team... I'm very happy with the idea of me and him being a duo, backcourt. I'm very happy."

In Summer League, Demin was Brooklyn's No. 1 option and played like it, posting multiple scoring performances of 20 or more points.

Demin showed noticeable growth on offense, having come into the league as more of a passer last year.

Brown, on the other hand, worked his way back to significant minutes after missing the beginning of the California Classic, looking more comfortable and dynamic with each game.

In his first appearance, a 100-79 victory over the Golden State Warriors' Blue squad, Brown delivered multiple high-level wraparound passes to his teammates on the wing, while also knocking down a corner 3-pointer for his first professional basket.

Demin led Brooklyn in scoring, notching a game-high 23 points, while adding eight rebounds and five assists.

With talented players on the wing like Julius Randle and Michael Porter Jr., both Brown and Demin will be secondary scoring options during the regular season, but they're playmaking abilities will be a huge boost.

Porter's perimeter shooting will provide space for both guards, who are tall for their position, to drive lanes and spray out to shooters on the wing.

Randle, who likes to get downhill off kickouts and finish with his size and strength, will take on the physical toll for Brooklyn while displaying leadership and professionalism.

This mix of veteran and young talent should serve head coach Jordi Fernández well going forward and give him flexibility with lineup construction.

Thus far, it seems like the pairing of Demin and Brown is a succes.
