ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported from Fanatics Fest in New York that an Eastern Conference team now appears likely to win the sweepstakes, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers all pushing hard.

James left the Los Angeles Lakers at the start of the month and has trimmed his list to five teams, a group that still includes Golden State along with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The logic is straightforward, since the Western Conference is stacked with the Thunder and the Spurs, while the East gives an aging superstar a smoother path to June.
