After the United States, Canada and Mexico hosted the 2026 tournament, soccer fans may already be wondering where the World Cup will be played in 2030 and beyond.
Since the inaugural tournament in 1930, the World Cup has been staged across the globe and takes place every four years. Here’s what to know about the countries and cities selected to host future editions.
2030 World Cup stadium locations
Spain, Portugal and Morocco will be hosting the 2030 tournament with three matches played in South America, while Saudi Arabia will be hosting in 2034. On the women's side, the United States and United Kingdom are set to be named as hosts in 2031 and 2035, respectively, according to ESPN.
The appointment by acclamation of the hosts of the 2030 and 2034 editions of the FIFA World Cup concludes a thorough bidding process following the unanimous proposal made by the FIFA Council and supported by all confederations, with a "view to providing harmony and rotation between the confederations in relation to the hosting cycle for the tournament," according to FIFA.
By the way, Saudi Arabia is set to host the games in 2034.

Spain captured its second FIFA World Cup title with a 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina at MetLife Stadium. Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in what may have been Lionel Messi’s final World Cup appearance.
