Mike Vrabel reveals Morgan Moses' health status ahead of training camp

Morgan Moses is entering his 13th season in the NFL after carrying an impressive workload last year, but the starting tackle did not take part in the New England Patriots' mandatory minicamp, calling into question his health status.

However, Mike Vrabel cleared the air on that when speaking with reporters ahead of training camp on Friday.

"Good. Great. Ran every, all the conditioning tests," Vrabel said of the 35-year-old tackle. "Morgan's played a lot of football, and Morgan's going to be one of those players that's going to have a unique plan."

Last year, Morgan started in all 21 games, but it was common that he would miss a day or two of practice during the week. As Vrabel said, they will have a plan for him that will likely make sure he's healthy for the games while not overworking him during the week.

"We have to figure out what that is and I've been hesitant to just say, 'Hey, you're going to go on these days, you're not going to go on these days,'" Vrabel explained. "I like to kind of see how they respond and really what he needs. And Morgan's at the point where it may just be individual one day or it may just be the team reps one day or it may be nothing one day."

And with that, Vrabel said that with Moses out, it provides other players with opportunities, whether it's "from the third team to the second team or the second team to the first team." Throughout the spring and early summer, it was rookie Caleb Lomu and second-year tackle Marcus Bryant who took his spot during team drills.
