Buffalo Bills alternate uniform leak draws visceral fan reaction

The Buffalo Bills are set to unveil a brand new alternate uniform for the 2026-27 NFL season on Monday, July 27, at 9:30 a.m. ET, but fans may have already got a sneak peek at the new look. Photos of the alleged alternate uniform leaked on social media over the weekend.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Bills would introduce a “’nickel-colored’ (gray) jersey that includes the ‘Charging Buffalo’ logo on the left shoulder. The jersey also features dark gray stripes on the sleeves, a blue collar, and blue numbers that are outlined in white and red. ‘Go Bills’ is inscribed inside the collar.”

The new leak backs up those claims, while an alternate helmet has also surfaced, much to the chagrin of Buffalo fans.

The alleged alternate helmet is blue, with a giant red stripearound the back, outlined in white. It’s the stripe from the charging buffalo logo, but left fans scratching their heads when the photo began to go viral.

The uniforms are expected to have matching gray pants with a dark gray stripe down the side.

“Terrible, someone should take their rights away for committing this crime,” one fan wrote on X. Another was hopeful that the leak was fake, adding, “There’s no way this can be real. There’s just no way this is an actual design for an NFL team…”

There were some fans, however, that are focused on bigger goals, and not the alleged alternate uniform.

Ultimately, fans will forgive the franchise for the unfortunate look as long as the team produces on the field. And, like user @2ITB_Buffalo wrote, uniforms can look a lot better when put together on a player rather than getting a retail look.
We’ll just have to wait and see how it all looks when they are officially unveiled on Monday morning.
