Roma is constantly working to find a left-sided attacking winger to give to Gian Piero Gasperini.
Among the various names being considered by the Giallorossi is Abde Ezzalzouli, but Real Betis’ demands are currently high.
The club’s desire is to find a functional player, not just anyone who will have to be replaced in January.
The Moroccan had his best season in Spain this season. He’s scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists.
These numbers intrigue the Grugliasco-born coach, who wants a player who’s ready and willing to work hard. And as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Giallorossi are in talks with Real Betis for the player.
Ezzalzouli is certainly an intriguing addition to Gasperini’s attacking lineup. He possesses both class and consistency, but his injury history is worrying all interested teams. This season, the 2001-born player was unable to play in the World Cup against Morocco due to a torn medial collateral ligament in his knee. But he’s no stranger to physical problems.
In 2024/25, for example, he missed twenty games due to injury. Roma will evaluate the deal, and the operation will only proceed if the costs are sustainable. The Barcelona youth player isn’t the only name on Tony D’Amico’s list.
According to Filippo Biafora, Real Betis’ asking price is around €60 million.
