Orlando Pirates confirm prices for new home and away jerseys

Orlando Pirates, who are Betway Premiership champions, launched the new kits on Thursday. The campaign celebrates Johannesburg, the “City of Gold”, as excitement builds ahead of the new season.

In a statement, Orlando Pirates and adidas said the new campaign honours the city that has played a key role in the club’s history.

“Today, adidas and Orlando Pirates Football Club proudly unveil the Club’s 2026/27 Home and Away jerseys with the release of a powerful campaign film, a tribute to Johannesburg, the City of Gold.
“More than a jersey launch, the campaign celebrates the city that has shaped generations of players, inspired millions of supporters, and forged the enduring spirit of the Buccaneers.”
The new jerseys retail for R1,399 and are available from Thursday through adidas stores, the adidas online store and selected retail outlets.

The club added: “As Orlando Pirates begins the countdown to its landmark 90th anniversary in 2027, the new season jersey serves as both a tribute to the Club’s storied past and a symbol of the exciting chapter that lies ahead.
“The campaign is a heartfelt celebration of legacy, resilience and the unbreakable connection between the Club and the city that runs through its veins.”
Orlando Pirates midfielder Cemran Dansin admitted the away jersey is his favourite despite the club’s traditional black colours.
“Obviously black is our colour, but I like the beige one (away jersey), it stands out. It is something a little bit different,” said Dansin.
Fellow new signing Oswin Appollis shared the same opinion. “I like the away jersey more. It is more beautiful,” said Appollis.
The jersey launch comes just days before Orlando Pirates begin the defence of their Betway Premiership title against Milford FC. It will be at the Orlando Amstel Arena. Supporters are expected to debut the club’s new colours in front of a packed stadium. The game will kick off on Satuday 1 August at 15:00.
