Former Panthers LB to complete entire tour of NFC South

A former Carolina Panthers linebacker is about to complete his tour of duty around the NFC South.

According to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, Deion Jones is signing with the New Orleans Saints. The 31-year-old defender has already picked up stops with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over a decade-long NFL career.
Jones started in Atlanta, as a second-round pick out of Louisiana State University in 2016. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in just his second pro campaign, where he recorded 138 combined tackles, a sack and three interceptions.
Following a brief stint in Cleveland, Jones landed with the Panthers in 2023. He'd make three starts over 13 games, amassing 35 tackles, a sack and an interception.
The Buccaneers would then sign and keep Jones through the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where he made a total of 19 appearances.
