Balogun could be heading back to the Premier League after Tottenham were reportedly offered the chance to sign the USMNT striker this summer.

The former Arsenal academy graduate has spent the past three seasons with Monaco, but his long-term future in Ligue 1 is now uncertain despite an impressive spell in France.
Balogun also enjoyed a memorable 2026 World Cup with the United States, scoring three goals in four matches before his tournament was overshadowed by the controversy surrounding his red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to The Sun, Balogun’s representatives have approached Tottenham over a potential move, with the striker said to be available for a ‘competitive fee’.
The report adds that Monaco are open to selling the American forward, although any deal would still need to be agreed upon between the two clubs.
Balogun, who grew up in London, joined Monaco from Arsenal in 2023 and has scored 19 goals in 43 appearances for the French side.
His performances have kept him on the radar of clubs across Europe, with Spurs now emerging as a possible destination. Well, Spurs are not the only London club that would keep track of this move.
A move would also have an added twist for Arsenal.
The Gunners reportedly inserted a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause when Balogun left north London, meaning they would benefit financially if Tottenham complete a deal with Monaco.
Balogun’s stock also rose during the World Cup.
The 25-year-old looked set to become one of the tournament’s breakout stars after scoring three goals in four appearances for the USMNT. He was the top goalscorer in his team throughout the tournament.
However, much of the attention shifted to his controversial dismissal in the Round of 32 against Bosnia and Herzegovina after VAR upgraded his challenge to a red card.

For Tottenham, who are still looking to pull another Harry Kane into the team, adding another striker would provide further competition in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad as preparations continue for the new Premier League season.
While Balogun, if the transfer is finalised, would have the opportunity to prove himself back in England after leaving Arsenal three years ago.
