The rich of European soccer may be getting richer.

Back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain announced Saturday, Aug. 15, that they have completed a move for Ferran Torres.

The Spain forward vaulted to global fame this summer, scoring the winning goal in extra time of the World Cup final against Argentina. After the trophy celebrations, he embarked upon an international media tour that included him putting pressure on FC Barcelona to offer a new contract or sell.

The La Liga club has opted for the second option, with PSG announcing it has signed the 26-year-old on a deal that will keep him at the club through 2031.
