There's no doubt that Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson is one of the most athletic players in the league. Throughout his third season, Thompson used his quick instincts, long frame and vertical jumping ability to make some spectacular plays. During the year, Thompson averaged a career-high 18.3 points to go along with 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.6 blocks in a career-high 79 games played. Shockingly, despite finishing eighth in Defensive Player of the Year Award voting, Thompson did not make his second consecutive All-Defensive Team.

Heading into the 2026-27 campaign, it'll be all about Thompson's development as a shooter, having converted on just 21.6% of 3-point attempts last year. If able to make this improvement, Thompson will easily become one of the league's biggest threats, still just 23 years old.
