Cosmopolitan Education Society Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Social Initiatives

The Cosmopolitan Education Society celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on Friday, 15th August 2026 at 8:30 am with immense pride, patriotism, and enthusiastic participation from students across all sections. The celebrations commenced in the Quadrangle with the arrival of the Secondary School Band. The National Flag was hoisted followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students presented the Flag Song, after which Bharat Valia, President, Cosmopolitan Education Society, addressed the gathering. In his speech, he urged students to uphold the values of freedom, unity, discipline and service to the nation, and to contribute towards building a stronger India.A vibrant Cultural Programme was held in the Auditorium. Students from Pre-Primary to Degree College showcased their talent. The Pre-Primary performed a dance, Primary presented a patriotic song and act, CBSE students performed a group dance, Secondary delivered an inspiring speech, Junior College presented a medley of patriotic songs, and Degree College enacted a dance and act highlighting national themes. The programme concluded with the National Song. The highlight of the day was the NSS Unit of Valia College conducting a powerful Street Play - Nukkad Natak on "Save Water", an "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Tree Plantation Drive, and an awareness drive on Rainwater Harvesting under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, reinforcing the commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents and management, making it a befitting tribute to 80 years of independence.
