PNB Kicks Off 'Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra', Commemorating 150 Years of 'Vande Mataram'

Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of nation's leading public sector bank, organised a Walkathon under the "Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra" campaign to celebrate the 80th Independence Day to commemorate 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram'. This initiative was inspired by the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign initiated by Government of India, which aims to bring the Indian National Flag closer to the hearts of Indian citizens while paying tribute to the National song that has inspired generations of freedom fighters and continues to embody the spirit of the nation.

The walkathon was led by Executive Director M Paramasivam, Executive Director Amit Kumar Srivastava, Chief Vigilance Officer Raghvendra Kumar, and other senior officials and staff of the bank, from the PNB Head Office in Dwarka.
Speaking on the occasion, M Paramasivam, Executive Director, PNB said: "As we mark 80 years of India's independence, this year holds special significance as we also commemorate 150 years of 'Vande Mataram', song that stirred the soul of a nation and gave voice to the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters. Through this PNB 'Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra', we pay homage to that enduring spirit of patriotism and unity. This initiative is a reminder of our responsibility, as a nation-building institution, to carry forward the values of self-reliance, integrity, and service to the motherland."
As part of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, PNB officials also distributed the Indian National Flag and spread awareness among the general public about the significance of 150 years of 'Vande Mataram', while reiterating the bank's commitment to upholding the honour and dignity of the tricolour.
