Lars Ricken, BVB’s Managing Director of Sports, explains: “We are very pleased that we were able to secure Enzo’s services on a long-term basis. He is the next player from our youth academy who has made great strides in recent months and has already shown the first signs of just how much potential he has during preseason training with the first team as we prepare for the new season.”

“Enzo is the kind of player who brings exciting natural talent to the table and is already very advanced for his young age. He has demonstrated his dynamism and technical skills not only in the youth ranks but also in training with our first team,” emphasizes Ole Book, BVB’s sporting director.
Dos Santos joined Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy from Swift Hesperingen in January 2025 and has since played for the U17s, the U19s, and the youth team that won the Premier League International Cup last season with a victory over Real Madrid in the final. At the age of 16, he also made his debut as a senior national team player for Luxembourg, making him the youngest national team player in BVB’s history. Now 17, he has played in five international matches so far.
Enzo dos Santos says: “I am very happy and grateful for the trust that BVB has placed in me. My big dream is to one day play for Borussia Dortmund in front of the Yellow Wall. I know that I still have a lot of work to do and a lot to learn to get there, and I will give it my all every day to get closer to this goal, step by step.”
