Canara Bank, Circle Office Mumbai, distributed Canara Vidya Jyoti Scholarships to meritorious girl students belonging to the SC/ST communities in the leadership of CGM Ranjeev kumar and chief Guest Mr.Rajesh T Pali IRS Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, as part of the Bank’s continued commitment towards promoting education and empowering deserving students.

The scholarship programme aims to provide financial support to meritorious girl students and encourage them to pursue higher education without financial constraints. This year Mumbai Circle are extending scholarships to 64 Branches 384 Students Total Scholarships amount 15.36Lakh and Total 80 Students attended the Canara Vidya Jyothi scholarship programme along with 30 Teachers  and parents 100 school bags with water bottle were distributed. The initiative reflects Canara Bank’s commitment to inclusive growth, educational empowerment and social responsibility.

The scholarship was presented to deserving students in recognition of their academic excellence and dedication towards education. The programme also highlighted the importance of providing equal opportunities to students from socially and economically disadvantaged sections of society.

Speaking on the occasion, the Circle Office representatives appreciated the efforts and achievements of the students and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence. They emphasized that education is one of the most powerful tools for social and economic transformation.

Canara Bank has consistently undertaken various initiatives to support education and empower the youth. The Canara Vidya Jyoti Scholarship is one such initiative aimed at encouraging meritorious girl students and enabling them to build a brighter and more secure future.
