The Cottagers have appointed Alvaro Arbeloa as their new manager, as Marco Silva left Fulham after a very successful five years in charge. Fulham have moved on some big names with Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez leaving on free transfers, while Arbeloa has returned to his old club Real Madrid to replace them with some talented youngsters.

Gonzalo Garcia, Cesar Palacios and Shea Charles are all exciting young players and their arrival marks a change in Fulham's transfer policy. Arbeloa did great work in charge of Real Madrid's youngsters and he is tasked with ushering in a new approach. Fulham still have the core group of players who overachieved under Silva and it will be intriguing to see how Arbeloa gets on early in his reign as he has some tough fixtures to negotiate.

Alonso's Chelsea will take risks on the ball and be exciting to watch, and the duo of Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers (a $159 million arrival from Aston Villa) can win any game for you. Add in Joao Pedro having a sensational preseason up front and Chelsea look set to push for the top four. Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck add experience and nous and could prove to be shrewd signings for Alonso as he aims to hit the ground running early in the season.
