The score between the Fever and the Wings was practically tied in the final seconds of the first half. Dallas was leading 42-40 with Clark coming down the floor to try and end the half on a good note.
During the possession, Bueckers intentionally fouled Caitlin, who took exception to the transgression. As she reacted with visible frustration, the young Wings superstar had some words for Clark.
“Calm down,” Paige could be seen saying to the Indiana superstar as she complained to the referees. It was a fairly heated moment, although it didn’t escalate any further.
The Wings managed to secure a 91-85 win, a huge result for them as they continue to battle for a playoff spot. The Fever have been on quite the run themselves and are almost certain to make the postseason.
If things are this testy between Bueckers and Clark right now, basketball fans will be excited to see a potential playoff series between the two. Even if it doesn’t happen this year, it does seem inevitable.
