Panvel Municipal Corporation Removes Encroachments In Navde-Taloja Phase II, Seizes 5 Handcarts And 8 Weighing Scales

Panvel, August 24, 2026: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Monday carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Navde-Taloja Phase II following repeated complaints about illegal encroachments on public spaces.

During the drive, the civic squad removed encroachments from footpaths and cleared the area for pedestrian use. Five handcarts, eight weighing scales and other material occupying road space were seized by the civic authorities.

Footpaths Cleared For Pedestrians

The removal of the encroachments has opened up the footpaths for pedestrians and is expected to improve the movement of vehicles in the area by clearing obstructions from the road.

The civic body said the action was taken in response to complaints from residents and was aimed at keeping public spaces free of encroachments, ensuring that footpaths remain accessible to pedestrians and preventing obstructions to traffic.
