The five-time major champion and Palm Beach County native will join the expansion Motor City Golf Club, according to TGL, which stands for Tomorrow's Golf League.
Koepka, 36, rejoined the PGA Tour in January after spending more than three years playing for LIV Golf. He was not eligible to play TGL, the high-tech, indoor golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, while playing for LIV. Koepka gave up five years of equity the PGA Tour valued at as much as $85 million and wrote a $5 million check to return to the PGA Tour.
TGL is played at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, not far from Koepka's home in Jupiter.
Koepka was critical of his season after failing to advance to the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He finished 94th in the FedEx Cup standings.
"Yeah, pretty disappointed," Koepka said. "I think it's pretty pathetic that I can't get through. Zero top-10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that's very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and completely reevaluate everything."
Koepka is the first player on the Motor City roster. Motor City was announced in May 2025 as TGL’s first expansion team and will begin competition as one of seven teams for the 2027 season. The Motor City ownership group is led by Middle West Partners principals Michael Hamp, Peter Hamp and Kevin Kelleher, all of whom have Detroit roots. The same ownership group also owns Motor City Golf Club in WTGL, the new women’s team golf league launching this fall.
