HOLT — Jeffrey Reisner had four carries for 125 yards and a score, while Gerrit Koot was 6-of-8 passing for 110 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs in their win over Holt in the Cedar Street Bowl. Frankie Trigo had three touchdowns, while Brennen West and Jordan Briggs led the Mason defense with seven tackles.

FOWLERVILLE — Zyeier Rembert threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns as the Warriors ended a nine-game losing streak and gave second-year coach Korey Ringer his first coaching victory with their win over Fowlerville. Amir Brown added 137 rushing yards and Tre Burton finished with five catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns for Waverly.

YPSILANTI — Blake Burke was 21-for-28 passing for a career-best 250 yards and two touchdowns for the Wolves, who won a season opener for the first time since 2018. Brett Burak added 10 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown and Atticus Joy added three receptions for 73 yards for Okemos. Gavin Gerhardt contributed a touchdown reception, Nicholas Coleman rushed for a score while Burak and Rylan Rapson each had interceptions on defense for the Wolves.

PERRY — Tyger Whitbeck became Perry's all-time leading passer by completing 13-of-20 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns in the nonleague win. He pushed his career passing yardage total to 3,230 yards with the performance. Alex Rockafellow added five catches for 138 yards and two TDs, while Johnny McConnell ran for 87 yards and a touchdown and added 17 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

MOUNT PLEASANT — Gibson Rondy completed 15-of-16 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Yellowjackets in their win over Sacred Heart. Harper Merchant rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns, while Greyson Merchant, Connor McMurphy and Devyn Fisher each had touchdown catches for Ithaca.

LAKE ODESSA — Michael Goodemoot picked up 113 yards rushing and a touchdown and an interception on defense for the Vikings to a season-opening home win over Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Laker. Max Thrun notched a rushing touchdown and Bubby Wilkins finished with a team-high eight tackles and an interception for Lakewood.

EAST LANSING — Baylor Schanski had seven carries for 80 yards and a touchdown to lead the Trojans in their nonleague loss.

HAMILTON — Conner Kurncz completed 22-of-32 pass attempts for 291 yards and a touchdown in the Redwings' road setback to Hamilton. Ian Smith hauled in seven catches for 101 yards and a touchdown and Archer Gurski had a pair of rushing scores for St. Johns.
HOWARD CITY TRI-COUNTY 30, OVID-ELSIE 28
ELSIE — Brody Howard finished with 145 yards passing with two touchdowns and a team-high 67 yards rushing for the Marauders in a narrow nonleague defeat to Howard City Tri-County. Joseph Fabus hauled in five receptions for 96 yards and a score, Chase Fabus punched in two rushing scores and Wyatt Lover pulled down a 35-yard receiving touchdown for Ovid-Elsie.
