Leeds United Under-21s will travel to Merseyside on Sunday afternoon to face Liverpool Under-21s in the Premier League 2.

Scott Gardner’s side began their league campaign last weekend with an enthralling 4-3 victory over West Bromwich Albion U21s at Thorp Arch.
The Whites took an early lead through Carrick Njinko before falling behind. Then, another double from the forward secured him the match ball, with Jacob Render also firing an impressive strike into the top corner!
The Baggies pulled one back late on to set up a nervy ending but United held firm to collect all three points from a memorable encounter!
Prior to that fixture, Leeds had faced Stoke City U21s in the Premier League Cup and gaining valuable experience against Boreham Wood in the National League Cup.
Liverpool’s PL2 opener saw the Reds draw with Merseyside rivals Everton at Goodison Park, with Will Wright on target for Sunday’s hosts.
The teams met one another at the same venue in the previous term. United impressed and led through Marley Wilson’s penalty but the home team drew level before cruelly snatching three points in injury time, through a late spot kick of their own.
Action from the Kirkby Academy gets underway at 1pm.
