University of Kentucky football announces Alex Brown as assistant general manager

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky went to the pro level to fill the void left by Peter Nochta after his promotion to general manager.
Alex Brown, a personnel executive with experience at both the college and professional levels, as well as media experience, has been officially hired as the assistant general manager for the Kentucky football team.

“Alex brings a tremendous combination of college personnel experience and NFL scouting expertise to our program,” Stein said. “He is an outstanding evaluator who understands roster construction and the importance of building strong relationships throughout the recruiting process. His experience leading personnel departments at a high level will be extremely valuable. We’re excited to welcome Alex to Kentucky.”
Brown was most recently working as a scout for the Atlanta Falcons but served as the director of player personnel at Ole Miss in 2024 and was the general manager at SMU in 2023. He also served in various roles at Rice and Houston and served as an NFL Draft research assistant with NFL Network.
