Panthers make big second wave of cuts to get to initial 53-man roster

After a small first wave of cuts on Saturday—the Carolina Panthers made their initial 53-man roster official with a second, much bigger wave this evening.

In addition, Carolina placed running back Trevor Etienne and inside linebacker Bam Martin-Scott on injured reserve, with the designation to return after four weeks. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton were also placed on the injured reserve/physically unable to perform list and right tackle Taylor Moton was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.
