Two Saturday night jackpots, two very different endings
· The South African

Saturday, 29 August’s Lotto draw delivered something genuinely rare. Not one, but two separate jackpots landed on winning tickets in the very same draw.

The numbers that changed two lives at once
The winning Lotto numbers were 3, 20, 30, 35, 39, 50, plus bonus ball 14.
In fact, a single ticket matched all six, taking home the full Division 1 jackpot of R19 162 736.30.
On the very same night, a separate player struck it lucky on the Lotto 5 Max draw too.
They walked away with a jackpot of R4 845 705.40 after matching those numbers.
The one draw that didn’t quite land
Not every game had a winner.
However, the Lotto Plus 1 draw, run on 2, 4, 11, 21, 29, 35 plus bonus 47, went without a jackpot winner.
As a result, that prize now rolls over to the next draw.
A night that spread the wealth well beyond the jackpots
Between all three linked draws, more than 65 900 players on the main Lotto alone walked away with some kind of prize.
On top of that, thousands more shared in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max payouts.
Still, imagine being one of two completely different households finding out on the very same night that your numbers came up, hey. What a Saturday that must have been.
Do you play Lotto, Lotto Plus 1, and Lotto 5 Max together, or do you stick to just the main draw?
