WWE power rankings after Monday Night RAW in Birmingham, AL

Hello everybody, and welcome back to another week of the WWE‘s Men’s Power Rankings. With Sunday Night’s Main Event and Monday Night RAW behind us, we now have a lot to unpack and digest. 

With Sunday Night’s Main Event closing out summer, we now move on to our next event. That event is none other than the Money in the Bank PLE, which airs October 10th in New Orleans, LA. Since we’re a month away, the WWE should have time to properly build these matches, unlike what we saw for WrestleMania.

10. Penta:

After appearing on AAA’s PLE this weekend, Penta was ready to go to war with Rey Fenix on RAW, in the final for the Number One Contender’s tournament. Penta ended up winning the match, which led to Roman Reigns coming out for a face-off. After the two stared at each other for a bit, they ended up going their separate ways peacefully. Penta wasn’t in RAW this week, so we’ll have to wait another week to see how this all unfolds.

9. Trick Williams:

If Baron Corbin didn’t see the hustle Lil Yachty and Trick Williams played on him, then he better go back to the kitchen. After Lil Yachty secured the win against Corbin, it gave Williams the chance to win the U.S. Title back in a match that took place right after this one. Corbin put on a great show, but in the end, Williams was victorious, thus moving him to the eighth spot overall. 

8. Chad Gable:

Chad Gable wasn’t on RAW last night, but the last time we checked in, Dragon Lee defeated Ethan Page to win a shot at Gable’s Intercontinental Championship. With Sunday Night’s Main Event happening and his absence on RAW yesterday, Gable and Lee should be back next week to square things up. 

7. “Main Event” Jey Uso:

Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso were on the wrong side of a beatdown last week on RAW. The bringers of that beatdown were none other than Royce Keys and the OTMs, which led to Jacob Fatu and the Usos heading to the ring last night to call them out. Instead, Keys and the OTMs thought it would be funny by lighting their car on fire before saying the quote “Ain’t nobody safe.” Going forward, this has War Games written all over it, even though that isn’t till November. YEET!

6. Kevin Owens:

Kevin Owens decided that using a suspect move in his recent match was a cool thing to do. Unfortunately, he’s been missing since that move, and it feels like he may have gotten a stern talking-to after that. Regardless, I look for him to be back in this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, to say the least. 

5. Seth Rollins:

Seth “Freakin” Rollins slips to fifth on this list after losing to Roman Reigns in the Main Event at SummerSlam. Since then, Rollins has cut some promos and gone face to face with a few wrestlers, but for now, it looks like Rollins will be back this week to address Gunther, who seems to have become a thorn in his side. Even this week, Rollins is still off of T.V., which means that the WWE is resting him up for the Money in the Bank PLE. 

4. Oba Femi:

Oba Femi simply got ransacked after a great match with Bron Breakker. After Austin Theory and Logan Paul committed their shenanigans, it was the returning Bronson Reed who made the biggest splash at King of the Ring. Now that the Vision is at full strength, it can only mean trouble for Femi and the rest of the WWE.

3. Cody Rhodes:

Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton in the main event at Sunday Night’s Main Event. He not only busted Orton open, but you could also say he dominated the match for most of the night. With Orton out of the way, or so we hope, it’s time for Rhodes to get back on track and into the title picture again. I’m sure he will be in the Money in the Bank match, but if not, maybe we see Rhodes wait till he enters the Royal Rumble. 

2. C.M. Punk:

C.M. Punk defended his belt against Johnny Gargano on Friday Night SmackDown, after offering Gargano a shot in the Money in the Bank stage area. The match was wrestled great in both ends, especially Gargano’s side. In the end, Punk won, but it was great to see the champ back out there after taking it somewhat easy recently. 

1. Roman Reigns:

Roman Reigns takes over as the number one, pound-for-pound wrestler in the world. Reigns had an easy week, from cutting promos to staredowns with Penta. However, his showdown with L.A. Knight was one for the ages. Knight brought up that Reigns needs to come up with new material, and that he’s looking forward to finally getting in the ring with him, and not his family. This feud just keeps getting hotter every week, and I can’t wait to see the culmination. Reigns was not on RAW this week, so for now, this story has to wait.
