Butler football pulls away in second half to knock off New Milford

BUTLER — No NJIC football team has been able to stop Butler over the past two seasons.
In their Sept. 11 Meadowlands Division showdown with New Milford, nothing stopped the Bulldogs until the game was firmly in hand.

Butler scored touchdowns on its first five offensive drives and returned an interception for a TD in a 41-28 victory at Charles Hempsted Field.
Although the Bulldog defense had its hands full with Knights star Kobe St. Hilaire (23 rushes, 166 yards), outside of a 72-yard TD, he only had one other carry longer than 10 yards.
Butler is 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the NJIC Meadowlands, while the Knights are 2-1 overall and in division.
