Sometimes, the reality doesn't live up to the hype. In the case of this fight Saturday, it may have exceeded it.

For 15 minutes, McMillen (12-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Rahiki (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) went all-in on aggression and violence, as they each took flipping the script on one another. Ultimately, it was McMillen who had his hand raised by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27) at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Ariz.

The first round was the closest, with both men having their moments. McMillen worked for a submission early, but Rahiki scrambled out quickly. Back on the feet, each man landed. McMillen seemed to be the aggressor, which Rahiki at times made him pay for.

Things started to hit peak chaos in Round 2 when Rahiki floored McMillen with a massive left hand and nearly finished the fight. McMillen was spaghetti-legged, wobbling in an effort to maintain his balance even in the moments where the onslaught would calm.

Eventually, he regained his wits and landed some punches of his own. Rahiki appeared tired by the attempt to finish the fight, but McMillen was equally gassed. The two fighters went back to their stools for the third round signifcantly sucking wind.

It was anyone's fight entering Round 3. McMillen found more gas in his tank, as he tagged Rahiki repeatedly on the feet and dropped him with a big right hand. McMillen dragged the fight to the canvas in front of the opposing corner, who he greeted with a big middle finger. As the seconds counted down, the violence increased, as did the crowd noise.

McMillen was named the victor and received praise from Dana White and Hunter Campbell cage-side.

After his win, McMillen called his shot, similar to how he asked to be on Noche UFC after his win in July. This time, he has his sights set on UFC 335 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.

McMillen, a training partner of former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley at MMA Lab in Phoenix, now has UFC wins over Manolo Zecchini, Alberto Montes, and Rahiki. Ten of his 12 pro victories have come inside the distance.

Morocco's Rahiki, 24, loses for the first time as a professional.
