York 1B wraps up season with 3rd Atlantic League Player of the Week honor

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -- While the York Revolution narrowly missed a berth in the Atlantic League playoffs, one of the team's top players finished the 2026 season on a high note.

First baseman Jacob Teter was named the Atlantic League Player of the Week for Sept. 8-13, the second straight week he earned the honor and his third overall for the year, the highest of any player in the league.
[sailthru_widget name="Sailthru Widget Block" sailthru_list="Nittany Insiders" title="Nittany Insiders"]Teter batted .429 across the Revs' final six games of the season, going 12-for-28 with 2 home runs, a league-best 10 RBI and 8 runs scored, helping York go 5-1 to end 2026.
He had a pair of 3-hit games, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBI in the team's lone loss of the week against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, then coming through with a 3-for-4 performance in an 11-7 victory over the Staten Island FerryHawks, again posting a homer and 4 RBI.
Teter, who also won Player of the Week honors on July 6 and Sept. 7, finished the season with 127 RBI (tops in the league), 168 hits, 38 doubles (second in both behind teammate Brian Rey), 118 runs (third behind teammate Tomo Otosaka and Hagerstown's Jared Carr), 29 home runs and a .340 batting average (fifth in both).
The only two other Atlantic League players who had more than one Player of the Week award in 2026 were Charleston's Carlos De La Cruz and Lancaster's Nathan Martorella.
Alas, York was eliminated from playoff contention after finishing with matching second-half 43-20 records with the Long Island Ducks, who advanced to the playoffs based on tiebreakers. The Ducks will face Hagerstown in the divisional series this week; the winner will face either Southern Maryland or Lexington in the championship series.
