CharMar Brown injures knee. What we know about Miami running back's injury

Miami football running back CharMar Brown left the Hurricanes' game Friday, Sept. 18 with an injury.

In the second quarter against Wake Forest, Brown broke out for a 32-yard run down to the Demon Deacons' 1-yard line. He was wrapped up by the ankles and stayed down on the field as trainers examined his right knee. ESPN opted not to show replays of the injury after he was helped off the field to the sideline. He was carted off the field to the locker room.

Known as "Marty," Brown is Miami's No. 2 runner behind Mark Fletcher Jr. He entered the game as Miami's third-leading rusher with 62 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown in the opener vs. Stanford. The North Dakota State transfer ran for 474 yards and seven TDs in 2025.
