Kyle Shanahan has updates on 2 injured 49ers WRs after win vs Dolphins

The San Francisco 49ers got a win Sunday over the Miami Dolphins, but they suffered a couple of key injuries to their receiving corps.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan after the game provided a list of players who suffered injuries during the game.
"Demarcus Robinson had an ankle, didn't return," Shanahan said. "Jack Jones had a foot, returned. Romello Height had a hand, he returned. James Thompson Jr. had an ankle, didn't return. Mike Evans had a hip, didn't return."
The Evans injury cropped up late in the game. He was listed as 'questionable' with a hip injury and was on the sideline with his helmet during the final minutes of the game according to reporters at the stadium. Shanahan said he's not concerned about the injury for now.
"No, I didn't," Shanahan said if he heard about anything major with Evans. "It can always change tomorrow. If the game was different he would've been able to come back in."
That's good news for San Francisco and it was probably the right move keeping Evans out of a 35-6 game in the fourth quarter. However, the news isn't as good for Robinson who was hurt early in the game.
"That looked most likely like a high ankle sprain," Shanahan said. "So, unfortunate there."
Robinson was on his way to a big game. He went down in the second quarter on a 20-yard grab. It was his third catch for 34 yards. Now he'll miss several weeks if he is dealing with a high ankle sprain.
While no injuries are good news, it looked like it might be something more serious for Robinson when he initially went down. Barring a complication or an uncharacteristically bad high ankle sprain, Robinson would be able to return this season.
Shanahan later indicated Thompson is potentially dealing with a high ankle sprain as well which would further thin out an already thin defensive tackle group for San Francisco. The head coach should have more information on the injured 49ers when he speaks with reporters Monday.
