Former Sevier County, MTSU soccer player Savannah Stair dies in car crash

Former Sevier County High School and Middle Tennessee State soccer player Savannah Stair died in a car crash in Nashville, the MTSU program announced on Sept. 20.

"We are saddened to share the passing of former Blue Raider Savannah Stair," the MTSU soccer program wrote in a post on X. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time."

Stair, 28, played for Sevier County from 2011-2015. She immediately got on the field as a freshman at MTSU, appearing in 12 games and becoming a staple defender for her career from 2016-2019. She started every game her junior year, playing 1,608 total minutes. She helped the MTSU defense to six shutouts. She played in 14 games as a senior.
