The Buffalo Bills and their fans feared the worst after DJ Moore went down with an injury in Week 2.

Moore had a Detroit Lions player fall on him in the end zone during the first half of the contest and he came down with a shoulder injury that was later diagnosed as a sprained AC joint.

Thankfully, Moore dodged a bullet and he doesn't have anything significant, but he is still uncertain ahead of the Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

DJ Moore injury update

Ahead of practice on Wednesday, head coach Joe Brady revealed Moore has a chance to play on Sunday afternoon.

“There will be guys that are not going to be out there at practice that we still feel good about them playing this week," Brady said of both Moore and Ed Oliver.

In what is more good news, Moore was practicing, too, albeit in a red non-contact jersey, which means he isn't cleared for contact just yet.

"Bills WR DJ Moore is on the practice field in a non-contact jersey on Wednesday," The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia reported.

While we don't know his exact level of participation yet because the Bills have not released their first injury report of the week, we can guess he was limited, at worst.

That doesn't guarantee he'll play, but Moore's ability to participate is a good sign for his chances of suiting up on Sunday against Los Angeles.

Because he was ruled out early in the Week 2 game against the Lions, Moore didn't have much of a chance to get going.

However, he was fantastic in Week 1, when he reeled in five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown, which showed exactly why the Bills acquired him via trade with the Chicago Bears during the offseason.

With Moore sidelined, the Bills saw guys like Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer step up, which was unexpected because both struggled mightily last season.

If Moore doesn't go, the Bills will once again need significant contributions from both, along with Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir.
