NEW YORK - This is Cam Schlittler's final tune-up start before postseason, when he'll pitch either Game 1 or 2 of a best-of-three Wild Card Series.
And that's likely to be against the Red Sox, a year after the Yankees' right-hander eliminated Boston in Wild Card Game 3 at Yankee Stadium.

On Thursday night in the Bronx, Schlittler will go against the AL East champion Rays; Tampa Bay would play the Yanks in a best-of-five Division Series if Aaron Boone's club advances.
And they've already looked into a scenario where Schlittler would pitch Games 2 and 5 of that series at Tampa Bay.
The odds-on AL Cy Young Award winner this year, Schlittler owns a 1.16 ERA in 17 road starts this year.
At Yankee Stadium on Thursday, Schlittler (14-6, 1.94) will be opposed by Rays' lefty Ian Seymour (9-7, 4.38).
Of note, Jose Caballero gets the start in center field, with the Yankees outfield thin heading into a Wild Card series, with Trent Grisham (hamstring) and Aaron Judge (calf) currently on the IL.
Ben Rice gets the start at first base; he's been the regular DH since the Yanks acquired Luis Garcia Jr. at the MLB trade deadline.
By hitting home runs Nos. 40 and 41 on Wednesday night, Rice is tied for the AL lead with Pete Alonso, Yordan Alvarez and Junior Caminero.
