Barcelona preparing two strategic sales for next summer to maintain economic stability

However, with the club set to play in Montjuic for a brief while next season, their priority next summer will be economic stability, over anything else.
And for that, Barcelona have already drawn the roadmap, particularly when it comes to generating revenue through sales of existing stars.
Two key sales planned
As reported by SPORT, Barcelona have planned two key strategic sales for the summer of 2027.

The first priority will be to get rid of Ronald Araujo on a permanent deal. The centre-back had joined Liverpool on a season-long loan deal, with the Reds having an option to sign the player permanently for €55 million.
Fortunately, Araujo has enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Anfield, and it appears Liverpool are showing interest in making the move permanent.
Another key priority is to secure the sale of Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The club are practically paying his full wages as part of his current loan spell at Ajax.
But there have been positive developments. Ter Stegen has become a key fixture at Ajax and is back on the German national team fold as well. This should increase his market value next summer.
Although ter Stegen’s exit won’t generate much income, it will help Barcelona take out one of their highest-paid players off the wage bill.

Apart from ter Stegen and Araujo, Barcelona have a few more key players they could look to sell next summer.
Marc Casado is one such player, who could leave the club on a permanent deal next summer. The midfielder was already close to departing this past summer, but a move did not materialise.
Casado ended up joining Deportivo A Coruna on a loan deal. But if he can impress, the player could find himself a permanent move away from Camp Nou next summer.
Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are other sale candidates, with both fullbacks having fallen out of favour in Hansi Flick’s setup.
While Kounde may yet feature more regularly now that Andreas Christensen is injured, Balde appears to have completely lost his place in the team, and a move away from Camp Nou only appears to be a matter of time.
