Caitlin Clark ‘blacked out’ before screaming at Candace Parker in viral moment

One of the things that makes Caitlin Clark a once-in-a-lifetime type of player isn’t just her unrivaled shooting; it’s his raw passion and competitive spirit that she brings to the court every game. That was on full display when the Indiana Fever hosted the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night in Game 2 of their first-round WNBA playoff series at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Late in the game, Clark came up clutch for the Fever and knocked down a big three-point shot over four-time MVP (likely soon-to-be five-time) and three-time Defensive Player of the Year A’ja Wilson.

After the big shot, which extended Indiana’s fourth-quarter lead to 11 points with under 4:30 to go in the game, Clark looked and pointed directly at Candace Parker, who was calling the game alongside play-by-play announcer Michael Grady and analyst LaChina Robinson on Amazon Prime Video.

Clark screamed something at Parker, but it wasn’t until after the game that the two relived the moment and shared a laugh over the intense reaction that Clark said came after she “blacked out” in the moment.

After draining the three, Clark looked directly at Parker and screamed, “F*** you think this was?!”

Robinson and Parker acknowledged the moment during the broadcast, but seemed confused in the moment about what was going on. Robinson asked, “What did she say to you, Candace?”

Parker responded, “I don’t know what Caitlin Clark just said, but whatever hyped her up. That was a big shot right there.”

Another video surfaced after the game on social media that showed a moment between Parker and Clark after the game, making it clear that there was no bad blood.

Clark embraced Parker and was seen laughing before appearing to say, “I blacked out. I said, ‘F**k you think this was.”

It was a hilarious moment between two of the best to ever play the game, and it shows how competitors like Parker understand competitors like Clark, because that is something you can’t teach, and it is never meant to be taken personally.

And when you can ball as well as Clark, you get a little bit more leeway. Clark finished Tuesday night’s game with 27 points, 15 assists, and 7 rebounds, while leading the Fever to a Game 2 victory, which forces a decisive Game 3 on Thursday night at Michelob ULTRA Arena back in Sin City.

Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. ET on USA Network and CNBC.
