Red Sox vs. Yankees live updates, news, starting pitchers for Game 2: Sonny Gray, Max Fried take the mound Wednesday
· Yahoo Sports
The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are back in the Bronx Wednesday for Game 2 of the AL wild-card series, with the Yankees taking a 1-0 series lead on the back of Tuesday night’s 9-0 shutout.
Facing elimination, the Red Sox will turn to right-hander Sonny Gray, who led the majors with an 18-5 record this season to go with a 2.72 ERA. Max Fried takes the mound for New York with a tough act to follow after a near-flawless performance from Cam Schlittler in Game 1, where he struck out 10 and allowed just two hits over 6 1/3 scoreless innings.
