The Owls (1-3), who've dropped three straight games. play their American Athletic Conference opener against UTSA (3-1) at the newly named First Community Stadium. The Roadrunners lead the series 9-4 and scored a program-record 61 points in last season's meeting in San Antonio. The teams have split their three matchups in Houston, with Rice winning 29-27 two years ago.
