“Just Fishing for Anything”: Myisha Hines-Allen Hits Back at WNBA Creator After Raven Johnson’s Public Apology
· Yahoo Sports
Myisha Hines-Allen has drawn social media criticism for her intense moment with A’ja Wilson and the statement that followed. The Indiana Fever forward took part in a pregame interview with teammate Raven Johnson, where Hines-Allen talked about the moment and how she acted as a “ragebaiter.” That even led Johnson to issue a public apology for her statement. Now, a WNBA creator has called out MHA, leading the forward to respond to her dig.
Hines-Allen averaged 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game during the 2026 season. But she shone in Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aces, adding 12 points and 12 rebounds in 20 minutes. However, the Fever lost the matchup 94-83. Johnson shared an apology on X after the game, clarifying her stance and saying she had nothing but respect for Wilson.

WNBA creator Angela Perry shared her thoughts and called out MHA, saying she was “disappointed” in Johnson’s behavior. She said:
“All throughout college, obviously cheered for Raven Johnson… Watching how Raven has moved this year has been incredibly disappointing, watching her like Sophie Cunningham’s transphobic post… Everyone respects A’ja, not Myisha. We don’t even know who you are.”

Hines-Allen responded to the post and took a dig at the creator in the comments section:
“Y’all gotta grow up one day, I swear. Just fishing for anything at this point. Like I said, love beats hate ALWAYS; y’all gotta remember that too.”
The Fever will now look inward and plug loopholes for next season, while the Aces will move ahead in the postseason for Game 1 of their semifinal matchup against the Golden State Valkyries on Sunday.
Myisha Hines-Allen seemingly takes a dig at A’ja Wilson’s mom
Myisha Hines-Allen seemingly took a dig at A’ja Wilson’s mother, who had a placard that read “Love beats Hate,” and also engaged in an altercation with an OutKick reporter. After the game, MHA shared the same quote on her Instagram story and wrote:
“But it’s only a problem when they do it. But when my down for the brown does it. Confused.”
The Fever have been eliminated for the second consecutive time in the postseason by the Aces, and the front office would want to make changes. Meanwhile, the Round 1 matchup between the Aces and the Fever produced several rivalry moments.
