SDSU and NDSU compete to scoreless draw

FARGO, N.D. (SDSU ATHLETICS) — South Dakota State and North Dakota State each split a point in Summit League action on Saturday, Oct. 3, as the two sides played to a 0-0 tie at Dacotah Field.

The Jackrabbits and Bison competed on nearly even terms over the course of the evening match. The two sides each produced 13 shots, while SDSU narrowly held a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. South Dakota State also had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Jackrabbits were led by Mia Bosch's three shots. Jenna Maloy, Brianna Finnegan and MaKynlie each recorded two shots with Maloy pacing SDSU with two on goal.
North Dakota State's Morgan Russmann had a match-high six shots with three on goal. Bison goalkeeper Payton Mulberry snagged six saves while the Jackrabbits' Mallorie Benhart corralled three.
Maloy, Sophia Emerson and Gentry Williams all played the full 90 minutes for SDSU. Deizha Lyn Jacinto appeared for a reserve-high 50 minutes.
South Dakota State is now 6-2-3 (1-0-2 Summit League) following Saturday's draw. The Bison are 3-4-5 (1-1-1). SDSU holds an 18-12-14 edge in the all-time series.
