‘Looked Like Jerry Rice’: Skip Bayless Has Strong Take on 49ers’ George Kittle

· Yahoo Sports

Skip Bayless had a strong reaction to George Kittle’s outstanding performance as the San Francisco 49ers remained unbeaten with a 34-14 victory over the Denver Broncos. Kittle delivered a performance that reminded Bayless of one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history while helping San Francisco improve to 4-0.

Kittle was one of the biggest difference-makers in the matchup, producing a touchdown that showcased his speed and athleticism. The veteran tight end caught a pass and accelerated down the field, reaching nearly 20 mph as he turned the play into a long scoring reception and gave the 49ers another explosive offensive weapon.

The touchdown was especially impressive considering Kittle had only recently returned from a significant knee injury. He underwent surgery in January and spent much of the offseason working his way back, making his ability to reach top speed and produce explosive plays even more encouraging for a San Francisco team with championship aspirations.

The play also put Kittle in the NFL record book. His touchdown marked the 44th receiving touchdown of his career, making him the first tight end in league history to record a touchdown in eight consecutive seasons, adding another accomplishment to an already impressive career.

Bayless shared his thoughts about Kittle’s big play against the Broncos. This can be seen in a post he made on his official X account.

Kittle’s production has become increasingly important as the 49ers continue navigating a demanding season. San Francisco has relied on its balanced offensive attack and playmakers to remain undefeated, while Kittle provides quarterback Brock Purdy with a reliable target capable of creating mismatches against both linebackers and defensive backs.

The 49ers are now 4-0 and have established themselves as one of the NFC’s early contenders, but Kittle’s continued health could be just as important as his production. If he can maintain the explosiveness he displayed against Denver, San Francisco will have another major weapon capable of changing games as the season progresses.
