QB Jared Curtis stays on Vanderbilt football injury report before Ole Miss game

Jared Curtis is probable to play for Vanderbilt football against Ole Miss, according to the SEC's initial injury report Oct. 7.

The five-star quarterback missed a matchup with Georgia due to an injury suffered against Auburn on Sept. 26. Blaze Berlowitz started the game against the Bulldogs on Oct. 3.

Curtis did practice Oct. 6, coach Clark Lea said.

Cornerback Jaylin Lackey and linebacker Jamison Curtis, who are both dealing with soft-tissue injuries, are still out, while freshman offensive lineman Mitchell Smith is doubtful.

Vanderbilt (3-2, 0-2 SEC) is set to take on Ole Miss (3-1, 1-1) at FirstBank Stadium on Oct. 17 (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).
