“Dumbest Play”: Fans Rip Liam Coen After Jaguars’ Goal-Line Failure vs. Eagles
· Yahoo Sports
The Jaguars and the Eagles are in action in London, with Jacksonville struggling to score in the first half. Head coach Liam Coen drew up a play that would have led to a Jaguars score, but it eventually led to a fumble just before the second quarter ended. Running back Bhayshul Tuten was going sideways as he tried to score a touchdown but was soon hit hard, leading him to drop the ball just as the quarter ended.
Soon enough, fans started poking fun at the Jags, with many blasting head coach Liam Coen for drawing up such a play.

“Liam Coen needs to be released; what an embarrassment, worst coach in history,” said one fan.
“Liam Coen and the Jaguars with the dumbest play I’ve ever seen? Why not give it to Tuten up the middle or run a QB sneak,” another fan stated.
The first half ended with Philadelphia leading 14-7 as Liam Coen and the Jacksonville Jaguars struggled to score against a relentless defense by the shorthanded Eagles.
Liam Coen Says He Is Not Focusing on Philadelphia Eagles’ Injuries
Coming into the game, the Philadelphia Eagles were a bit banged up, as they are missing star running back Saquon Barkley and backup Tank Bigsby, along with wide receiver DeVonta Smith. However, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said the London game will be about them, not the Eagles and their injured players.
“If that even creeps in our minds, we’re worrying about the wrong things because it is about us,” he told Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
The Jags are currently 3-1 and seen as playoff contenders, though the banged-up Philadelphia Eagles, currently 2-2, have been proving to be a difficult test for them so far.
