The Eagles lost, 19-17, to the Jaguars in London at Tottenham Stadium on Sunday.

It looked like the Eagles (2-3) would win it. Jake Elliott’s field goal with seconds to go gave the Eagles a one-point lead.

But a crucial mistake on the ensuing kickoff, allowing the Jags to return it all the way into Eagles’ territory, allowed a 57-yard field goal from Jacksonville’s Cam Little.

And he nailed it.

The Eagles were short-handed. Lane Johnson retired. Cam Jurgens was traded. An injury crisis forced Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and many more out of the lineup. With all those stars out, it was a valiant effort as heavy underdogs.

But now Nick Sirianni and the Eagles have lost three straight games, falling below .500 for the first time since 2021.

Next up? The Carolina Panthers at home next Sunday.

But in case you missed it, here’s how the Eagles-Jaguars game played out in London.

FOURTH QUARTER

Somehow, the Eagles just blew it.

The Eagles didn’t kick it out of the end zone on the ensuing kickoff after Jake Elliott’s field goal. A 59-yard kickoff return by Ameer Abdullah gave the Jaguars a 57-yard FG attempt. And Cam Little absolutely drilled it.

Jake. Elliott.

The Eagles’ veteran kicker just drilled what could be a game-winning, 48-yard field goal with seconds to go.

Jalen Hurts, after taking over at his own 38-yard line with 1:35 to go, orchestrated a drive that got Elliott into range.

And Elliott delivered.

3:20 — Jaguars 16, Eagles 14

The Eagles’ defense finally broke after the offense couldn’t string together a drive to give them a breather. Parker Washington’s ridiculous 27-yard touchdown catch on fourth down put the Jaguars in front.

However, Jacksonville’s long-snapping problem reared its ugly head. A high snap led to a missed extra-point try.

Now, the Eagles need only a field goal to win it. Can they mount a game-winning drive?

6:35 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 10

What a defensive stand by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Jaguars certainly didn’t help themselves, with penalty after penalty. Jacksonville had a first-and-goal at the 1-yard line and kept getting procedural penalties. Birds fans in London made a huge impact in that regard.

But ultimately, Vic Fangio’s defense had to stand tall, and it did. Can the Eagles salt this one away?

THIRD QUARTER

2:15 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 10

With so many injuries on the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles’ defense had to step. And they are — big time.

Quinyon Mitchell just secured his first regular-season interception of his career after Trevor Lawrence was under pressure on the blitz.

Let’s see if the Eagles’ offense can extend this lead.

7:11 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 10

The injury-riddled Eagles are hanging onto their lead. The Jaguars had a first-and-10 on the Eagles’ 14-yard line, but they shot themselves in the foot with penalties. The Jaguars had to settle for a 34-yard field goal from Cam Little.

13:31 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 7

The Eagles went three-and-out to start the second half. And they suffered another injury blow in the process.

Starting guard Tyler Steen exited with an upper-body injury. He went to the medical tent, then headed to the locker room.

Not great for an offensive line already in flux.

SECOND QUARTER

0:00 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 7

What a wild sequence at the end of the half.

The Jaguars were stopped on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line as time expired. A motion handoff to Bhayshul Tuten was blown up by Zack Baun to end the threat and secure a halftime lead for the Birds.

That was after a length replay review looked like it would award the Eagles the ball on a potential fumble ... only for the refs to stick with the call on the field.

Baun’s stop was massive. But the Eagles might have lost edge rusher Jalyx Hunt on the play. They brought out the cart for Hunt, who refused to get on and walked off with trainers. Either way, not a great scene for the promising pass rusher.

5:31 — Eagles 14, Jaguars 7

Darius. Cooper.

Cooper, the 2025 undrafted receiver out of FCS Tarleton State, ripped off a 62-yard touchdown. Beautiful throw by Jalen Hurts on third-and-10. Dynamic catch and run by Cooper, who is playing more with DeVonta Smith out.

Cooper, who continued to grow in training camp after a surprise summer last year, now has four touchdowns on the season. Impressive stuff from the 24-year-old.

8:46 — Eagles 7, Jaguars 7

What a drive by the Eagles. Jalen Hurts led the Birds on a 13-play, 64-yard touchdown march, capped by a two-yard run by Will Shipley — his first career NFL touchdown.

But Hurts really orchestrated that drive, converting a pair of massive third downs facing heavy pressure. Hurts connected with Dontayvion Wicks on third-down distances of 10 and eight yards to move the sticks. A lot of under-center, play-action from Hurts on that drive, too.

Good sign for Hurts and OC Sean Mannion, working behind a young, makeshift offensive line.

FIRST QUARTER

5:26 — Jaguars 7, Eagles 0

Any momentum the Eagles had from that strong defensive start vanished quickly. First, they failed to convert on a fourth-and-1. Will Shipley came up inches short of moving the sticks. Then, a few plays into the Jags’ series, Parker Washington took a throw to the flat for a 51-yard touchdown.

To give up a touchdown on that kind of play is a rough look for the defense — specifically safety Drew Mukuba and linebacker Jihaad Campbell.

10:20 — Eagles 0, Jaguars 0

Jalen Carter, hello. The 2024 All-Pro defensive tackle dominated that first drive, forcing a holding penalty and then strip-sacking Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Carter has struggled the last couple of weeks, playing through a hairline fracture in his wrist. But after inking a $152 million deal this offseason, Carter showed on that drive why the Eagles paid him.

14:47 — Eagles 0, Jaguars 0

Well, that was a wild start. The Jags returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but penalties on both teams during the play negated the long run from Jacksonville’s Josh Cameron.

The big news from the Eagles’ end? Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. was ejected, along with a Jaguars’ special teams player, for an after-the-whistle scuffle.

Trotter started last week and figured to play a role on defense with Jihaad Campbell dealing with a knee injury. As if the Eagles needed to lose any more contributors.
