The Yankees have won at least 92 games in every season since Boone took over the helm in December 2017, minus the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign and an 82-80 finish in 2023, the only season New York hasn't made the postseason during his tenure. His .583 regular-season winning percentage (790-565) is 13th-best in MLB history for those who have managed at least 400 games, tied with Hall of Famer Earl Weaver.
Boone, 53, has one year remaining on a contract extension he signed ahead of the 2025 season.
