The newly announced dates come on the heels of BonJovi’ s recent return to the stage this year with a nine-date residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, plus stadium shows in London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
“The Forever Tour has been an incredible celebration of the music and the fans who have been with us all these years,” 64-year-old frontman Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement.
“From Madison Square Garden to Scotland, Ireland, and England, the energy and joy we shared with our fans this summer was something truly special. To look out and see thousands of faces singing along with us, night after night, is something we’ll never take for granted. We’re grateful for every one of you, and now we’re taking that celebration around the world in 2027, with more cities, more countries, and a whole lot more nights to remember. We can’t wait to see you out there!”
The Forever Tour marked Bon Jovi’s first concert trek since the band’s frontman underwent surgery in 2022 after doctors discovered his vocal cords were atrophying.
“There is a lot of joy in this announcement — joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said in a statement at the time.
‘There’s no substitute for hard work’
Bon Jovi’s health challenges were captured in the 2024 documentary, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story , a four-part warts and all docuseries that chronicled the epic past of one of the world’s most recognizable rock bands.
At the time, as he recovered from vocal cord surgery, Bon Jovi told Postmedia he wasn’t sure the band would ever mount a large-scale tour again.
“We don’t know,” Bon Jovi said when asked what the future holds. “ The new album is incredible , I think it’s the best album the band have made in 20 years … But all I can do is let go, leave it to God and see what happens.”
In that same 2024 interview with Postmedia, Bon Jovi said the band remained successful because they followed their hearts.
“It was hard work, perseverance, not chasing fads nor fashions, staying true to who and what we were and are,” he said as he contemplated their staying power. “There’s no substitute for hard work.”
Bon Jovi has enjoyed a long connection with Toronto dating back to the band’s earliest days. In a 2020 interview with Postmedia, he recalled playing the El Mocambo in 1984 while promoting the group’s self-titled debut album.
He also promised he’d never get tired of chasing perfection when it came to making music.
“To this day, I don’t know that I really believe that we’ve achieved what I was hoping to do. It’s just that constant desire to do better than last time,” Bon Jovi said at the time.
In addition to next year’s Toronto show, Bon Jovi will also play stadium dates in Australia, the U.K., New Jersey, Illinois and Massachusetts.
