Coach Jordan Ott’s Phoenix Suns are preparing for October 21’s season opener at Portland and have been busy in the front office, recently announcing Oso Ighodaro’s contract extension. Forward Dillon Brooks spoke out about a team culture issue that Mat Ishbia fixed ahead of the season, which will now include a surprise addition who became well known from his college days at Gonzaga.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that Ott’s team has signed Zags legend Drew Timme off waivers after he spent training camp with Chris Finch’s Minnesota Timberwolves. Timme has averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in two NBA seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers.

The news comes with Phoenix’s opener at the Portland Trail Blazers just days away.
