Cincinnati Princeton running back Jordan Hall committed to Penn State on Saturday. He chose the Nittany Lions over in-state Ohio State and Missouri, who made up his top three.

Nittany Lions head coach Matt Campbell attended Hall’s game on Friday night. Hall told Rivals prior to that game that he was still undecided on his choice. He has long talked about the coaches at Penn State and how often the staff was in contact.

“I talk to the Penn State coaches all the time,” he said. “Every day, we talk on the phone. I have the relationships there.”

Hall (5-11, 197 pounds) has exploded as a senior, rushing for 1,179 yards and 24 touchdowns so far this season. This comes after he missed his junior season with an injury. Hall then went out to camps and made his name. That included a positional MVP at Under Armour Ohio where he ran a 4.43 forty — a time that was backed up by his 10.72 100-meter time. He also clocked a blazing 4.12 shuttle.

Miami (Ohio) earned his commitment, but after he started the season with a sterling performance against Cincinnati Moeller, Hall picked up offers from Power Four schools and re-opened his recruitment.

During the fall, he took two visits to Ohio State and two visits to Penn State.

Rivals has Hall as an 86-rated three-star. Given his fall season, he has an opportunity to get a good second look when those 2027 rankings are re-done in the coming weeks.

Penn State now has 22 commits. Hall joins Chukwuma Odoh as running backs in the class.
