The Green Bay Packers hit the road to take on the Detroit Lions in Motown during Week 7 which included controversial calls that had coach Matt LaFleur biting his tongue in a postgame press conference, before letting his true feelings slip. Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons called out the refs after the game, and he also got support from Tom Brady on the day as the NFL legend shared his thoughts.
The play happened when Packers defensive tackle Karl Brooks came marauding in on Lions QB Jared Goff. He hit Goff right as he released a pass downfield to tight end Sam LaPorta that was completed. Roughing the passer was called, but Brady didn’t see it.
Tom Brady has had enough with the officiating.
"My goodness. What is that?"
"There's no way!"
"It's definitely not roughing the passer." https://t.co/CtETYvi5D3pic.twitter.com/a0JlJUylJM

Green Bay continued to fight and took the Lions down to the wire before losing, 20-17. A missed field goal by rookie kicker Trey Smack opened the door for the Lions, who took advantage, driving for a game-winning Jake Bates field goal and sending Green Bay to 4-3 on the season.
Running back Josh Jacobs’ status became a hot topic before the game and he was able to play, teaming with Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft to help Jordan Love excel in the passing game. Love had a rough play that he would like to take back, a deep ball that was snagged out of mid-air by Lions injury returnee Brian Branch.
The Pack now finds itself behind the Lions, Bears and Vikings in a jam-packed NFC North division. All four teams have playoff hopes, but Green Bay’s suddenly appear a whole lot fainter after Week 7’s crushing loss.
LaFleur and his team will do their best to avoid getting fined in the wake their hard-luck loss, with plenty of work left to do before the season ends.
