NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed the growing concerns during NBA TV’s Hayne Headlines segment. His reporting suggests the Suns are struggling to establish a consistent offensive structure despite having several talented structure despite having several talented scorers.

Haynes explained that Phoenix lacks a player capable of consistently organizing possessions and creating quality opportunities for teammates.

The Suns have relied on Devin Booker alongside Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. However, none of those players primarily operate as a traditional pass-first point guard.

“You don’t have a true traditional point guard that can get everybody, give everybody looks, and get everything organized,” Haynes explained.

The concern comes after Booker’s difficult performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. He scored just three points while shooting 1-of-7 from the field.

Haynes also noted that Phoenix ranks in the bottom half of the NBA in team assists, reflecting its early offensive difficulties.

Despite the reported frustration, there is no indication that the Suns are immediately pursuing a roster change.

“I don’t know that the Suns are looking to address [it] as of now,” Haynes said.

Instead, Phoenix reportedly hopes to distribute playmaking responsibilities among multiple players. The team’s offensive struggles have already prompted concerns about its early-season performance.
